Privacy Policy
Arkin is pre-launch. This policy covers the personal information we collect through our website and our waitlist, which is all we collect today.
Last updated: 4 August 2026
1. About this policy
Arkin (“Arkin”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website at arkin.finance and the Arkin waitlist.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, join our waitlist, or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everyone who interacts with us at this stage.
Arkin’s platform is not yet live. We are not currently providing financial products or services to anyone, and we are not currently collecting the kind of information a live financial platform would collect. Section 12 explains what will change when we launch and how we will tell you about it.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or join our waitlist.
2. Personal information we collect
Information you give us
When you join the waitlist, request access, subscribe to updates, fill in a form, or contact us, you may give us:
- your name
- your work email address
- your company or organisation name
- your role or job title
- your country or region
- your phone number, if you choose to provide it
- information about your business and what you are looking for, where a form asks for it or where you tell us in an email or a message
- any other information you choose to include in your communications with us
Only the fields marked as required are required. If you do not provide them we may not be able to add you to the waitlist or respond to your enquiry. If a colleague refers you, or you give us your details at an event, we may receive the same information from them instead of from you.
Information we collect automatically
When you visit our website, our hosting provider records:
- your IP address, and the general location derived from it, such as country or city
- your device type, operating system, browser type and language settings
- the pages you requested, and the date and time of each request
- the website that referred you to us
Some of this information is not personal information on its own, but it can become personal information when combined with other information we hold. We do not run any analytics or behavioural tracking on our website. See section 4.
Information we do not collect at this stage
To be clear about our current scope, at the waitlist stage we do not collect, and we ask you not to send us:
- identity documents, passport or national ID details, or dates of birth
- company incorporation, ownership or beneficial ownership documents
- bank account numbers, card numbers or other payment credentials
- wallet addresses, private keys, seed phrases or any other blockchain credential
- transaction or balance information
- any government identifier
If you send us any of the above unprompted, we will delete it rather than store it, unless we are required to keep it by law. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information or special categories of personal data.
3. How we use your information and why we are allowed to
We use the information described above for the following purposes.
| What we use it for | Why we are allowed to |
|---|---|
| Adding you to and managing the waitlist, including confirming your place and keeping your record accurate | Your consent when you sign up, and our legitimate interest in running the waitlist |
| Responding to your enquiries and messages | Your consent, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us |
| Sending you product updates, launch announcements and information about Arkin | Your consent. You can withdraw it at any time, see section 5 |
| Understanding whether your business fits the customers we can serve at launch, and prioritising who we contact | Our legitimate interest in building a product for the right customers |
| Operating, securing and maintaining our website | Our legitimate interest in running a functional and secure website |
| Preventing and investigating fraud, abuse, spam and security incidents | Our legitimate interest in protecting Arkin and our users, and compliance with law |
| Complying with legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims | Compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interest in protecting our legal position |
| Corporate transactions, such as a financing round, acquisition or restructure, including due diligence | Our legitimate interest in running and financing the business |
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and it may mean we can no longer keep you on the waitlist.
We will not use your personal information for a purpose unrelated to those above without telling you first and, where the law requires it, obtaining your consent. We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects for you or that significantly affect you.
5. Marketing and how to opt out
If you join the waitlist or subscribe to updates, we will send you emails about Arkin, including launch news, product updates and invitations to events.
You can opt out at any time by:
- clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any marketing email, or
- emailing us at privacy@arkin.finance and asking to be removed.
We will action your request promptly. Even after you opt out of marketing, we may still send you service messages that relate directly to a request you have made, for example confirming that we have removed you from our list.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. Where your information is stored
Our service providers are located in a number of countries, so your personal information is likely to be disclosed to, stored in, or accessed from a country other than the one you are in. The countries in which our service providers are likely to store or access personal information are Singapore, the United States and Australia.
Before we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure the recipient handles it consistently with this policy and with the data protection law that applies to us, including by putting contractual protections in place. Where you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom and we transfer your information out of it, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you would like more detail about where your information goes, contact us using the details in section 14.
8. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy.
- Waitlist and enquiry records: we keep these until Arkin launches and for a reasonable period afterwards while we work through the waitlist, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. If you are still on the waitlist and have not engaged with us for 24 months, we will delete or de-identify your record.
- Marketing records: we keep a record of your opt-out permanently, in a suppression list, so that we do not contact you again by mistake. That record holds only the minimum needed to honour your choice.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security and reliability purposes, then deleted.
- Records we need for legal reasons: kept for as long as the relevant law requires, or for as long as a legal claim could reasonably be brought.
When we no longer need personal information, we delete it or de-identify it.
9. How we protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include access controls and least-privilege access, multi-factor authentication on our systems, encryption of data in transit and at rest with our infrastructure providers, logging and monitoring, vendor review before we adopt a tool, and prompt revocation of access when someone leaves.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulator as required by the law that applies to us.
Please do not send us sensitive information, credentials or identity documents by email. See section 2.
10. Your rights and choices
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you, and be told how we use it.
- Correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.
- Delete it, where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
- Stop marketing to you, at any time.
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it, at any time.
- Complain if you think we have mishandled your information.
Depending on where you are, you may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@arkin.finance. We may need to verify who you are before we act, which for a work email usually means replying from the address we hold. We will respond within 30 days, and sooner where the law requires it. We do not charge for access requests. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, contact us first. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
11. Children
Our website and our waitlist are for businesses and the people who run them. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us at privacy@arkin.finance and we will delete it.
12. When the Arkin platform launches
Arkin is pre-launch. When we begin onboarding customers, the information we collect will change substantially. It will include the information needed to open and operate business accounts, custody wallets and corporate cards, such as company details, director and beneficial owner details, identity verification data, transaction records and blockchain addresses.
Two things you should know about that stage now:
- We will give you a separate, fuller privacy notice before we collect any of it. You will be asked to review it as part of onboarding. This policy will not be quietly stretched to cover it.
- Identity verification is not run by Arkin. Business and individual verification checks are run by our licensed partners or by specialist verification providers. Where that happens, those providers handle your information under their own privacy notices as well as ours, and we will identify them at the time.
You should also know that where a service involves a public blockchain, transaction details recorded on that blockchain, including wallet addresses and amounts, are public, permanent and outside anyone’s control, including ours. They cannot be edited or deleted by us or by you. We will explain this in detail before any such service is provided to you.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version on this page.
If we make a change that materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will tell you before it takes effect, by email to the address we hold for you or by a prominent notice on our website.
